  • Conducts a co-educational middle school program (grades 6, 7 & 8) divided into single-gender classrooms located in the historic downtown neighborhood of the City of St. Louis.
  • Has been providing a quality Catholic education as a St. Louis Archdiocesan elementary school for more than 140 years. The "embedded" NativityMiguel middle school began in September 2006 with a current enrollment of 113 students (grades 6, 7 & 8), with a maximum enrollment of 140.
  • Serves students from 37 different zip codes within the city, county and East St. Louis, Illinois. It seeks to meet the total needs of each student, developing religious values regardless of race, ethnicity or religious background.

College Prep Curriculum
Central Catholic Academy has a challenging curriculum with a focus on math, science, reading, religion and social studies. In math the students are taught one year in advance of grade level expectations (i.e., algebra is taught in 7th and 8th grades). The instructional day begins with breakfast at 7:30 am and ends at 2:50 pm.

Extended School Day
The after-school program runs Monday through Friday from 2:50 until 4:30 p.m. All students are required to participate. The after-school program includes supervised study hall, tutoring, sports and enrichment. Nativity staff and volunteers serve as coaches, tutors, instructors, mentors, support staff and in other roles. Enrichment programs include: home economics, drama, dance, music production, jewelry making, instruments, Italian and basketball.

Saturday Program
Central Catholic Academy's mandatory Christian Service Program is held one Saturday per month from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. It includes leadership training, team building, multicultural opportunities, social teachings of the Catholic Church and opportunities for giving that increase global awareness.

Summer Session
An extended academic year is a required component of the Central Catholic program. A mandatory six-week summer session is held on a college campus. Students are taught advanced courses in math, science (e.g., geology, astronomy), study skills/time management, research, reading, etc.
